Measure The Redshift
Measure The Redshift was formed in the spring of 2009 by former drummer Dom Perna and guitarist Chad Schoen. Shortly after forming they added vocalist Jeremiah Geis and Bassist Ty Sparks. With a mindset of writing good music and straying away from their contemporaries they quickly set themselves apart from the rest of the bands in the region. In March of 2011 Measure The Redshift released a self produced LP, "Outside The Spectrum." Shortly after the release of their album, they added guitarist Alan Smith. With the addition of Smith and his talents the band was able to write more complex, progressive, and technical songs. Not long after the addition of Smith, Perna had to resign due to the birth of his daughter. The band then asked Alan's former drummer Cody Bretz to fill Pernas position. Bretz's energy and enthusiasm added even more to the character to the band. In the short time the band have been together they have shared the stage with many national and international touring bands, such as: Between The Buried And Me, White Chapel, Born of Osiris, Scale The Summit, The Misfits, After The Burial, Job For A Cowboy, and also played The Jamboree.
