Leyden Jars are an original rock band featuring the simplistic, melodic post 90's rock sound with a completely innovative edge!
Writing both the lyrics and music, The band has created an expressively melodic sound; featuring bleeding vocals and driving rhythms full of atmosphere.
Many have compared Leyden Jars to Creed or Staind due to a lyrically deep range and pure rock flowing melodies. In addition, the band has sited influences such as Cold, Clutch, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, 5FDP, and STP. Leyden Jars is uniquely different and draws from a variety of life experiences. The band agrees that the reason they write music is because it draws out the emotions most people hide in their day to day lives, and putting it out there brings relief and connection.
In April of 2012, the band began writing together, and formed what is now Leyden Jars.
Leyden Jars released their first original demo on May 24th, 2012.
